🛡️ Player Safety
Responsible Gambling
at alano5
Gambling should be a form of entertainment — not a source of financial stress or personal harm. alano5 is committed to giving Pakistani players the tools, information and support they need to stay in control and play within their limits.
Our Commitment
Gambling is Entertainment — Keep it That Way
Whether you are following a PSL T20 match in Lahore, tracking an ICC tournament from Karachi, or exploring the live casino from Islamabad — alano5 is built to be an enjoyable experience. The moment it stops being enjoyable, or starts feeling like an obligation or a financial pressure, that is the moment the right tools need to come into play.
alano5 provides a full suite of responsible gambling controls — deposit limits, loss limits, session time limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion — all accessible directly from your Account settings. These are not buried in the terms or hidden behind a support request. They are part of the Account interface because we believe player safety is a core feature, not an afterthought.
We also recognise that Pakistan has a specific legal and cultural context around gambling. We do not claim to be licensed or approved by any Pakistani authority. You are responsible for understanding applicable local law, and we encourage you to use our platform in a way that is consistent with your legal obligations and personal wellbeing.

Player Protection Tools
How to Use alano5's Safety Controls
Every responsible gambling tool on alano5 is designed to be accessible without friction. Here is how each one works and how to activate it.
Set a Deposit Limit
Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Deposit Limits. Choose a daily, weekly or monthly cap in PKR. Once set, the limit takes effect immediately. Increases require a cooling-off period before taking effect. Decreases apply instantly.
Activate a Loss Limit
Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Loss Limits. Set a maximum PKR loss threshold for a rolling 24-hour, 7-day or 30-day period. When the limit is reached, betting and deposits are paused for the remainder of the period.
Set a Session Time Limit
Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Session Limits. Choose a maximum session duration. When the limit is reached, you will receive a notification and the session will close automatically. This helps manage time spent on the platform.
Request a Cool-Off Period
Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Take a Break. Select a period — 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days or 30 days. Your Account will be temporarily suspended for gambling activity. The cool-off cannot be reversed early once activated.
Request Self-Exclusion
Contact our support team directly via live chat or email at [email protected] with the subject "Self-Exclusion Request". Our team will process your exclusion promptly. During exclusion, your Account is suspended and no marketing communications are sent.
Close Your Account
If you want to close your alano5 Account permanently, contact our support team. Any verified Real Money Fund balance will be returned to your confirmed payment method following completion of KYC, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
Know the Signs
Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually. Recognising early warning signs — in yourself or someone close to you — is the most important step toward getting help.
Chasing Losses
Continuing to bet with the aim of winning back money already lost — rather than stopping when the set budget is reached — is one of the clearest early indicators of problematic gambling behaviour.
Losing Track of Time
Spending significantly more time gambling than intended, or gambling for long stretches without breaks, suggests that control over the activity is beginning to diminish.
Gambling Beyond Your Means
Betting with money needed for essential expenses — rent in Karachi, bills in Lahore, family costs in Rawalpindi — or borrowing money specifically to gamble, indicates a serious boundary has been crossed.
Hiding Gambling Activity
Concealing the extent of your gambling from family members, friends or colleagues, or feeling the need to minimise or lie about how much you have spent or lost, is a warning sign worth taking seriously.
Gambling to Escape Problems
Using gambling as a coping mechanism for stress, anxiety, boredom or personal difficulties — rather than as entertainment — significantly increases the risk of problematic patterns developing.
Inability to Stop
Repeatedly trying and failing to reduce gambling activity, or feeling restless and irritable when attempting to cut down, are strong indicators that professional support may be needed.
Self-Check
A Quick Self-Assessment
The questions below are not a clinical diagnostic tool — they are a simple starting point for honest self-reflection. Answer them privately and honestly. If you answer "Yes" or "Sometimes" to two or more, it may be worth taking a step back and reviewing how you are engaging with gambling.
This check is entirely private — your answers are not recorded or transmitted. It is for your personal reflection only.
If this check prompts concern, the most constructive next step is to contact our support team to discuss the available tools, or to reach out to a qualified mental health or addiction support professional in your area.
// Responsible Gambling Self-Check
These buttons are for personal reflection only. No responses are stored or submitted. If you answered "Sometimes", "Often" or "Always" to two or more questions, consider contacting our support team or a professional gambling support service.
Best Practices
Healthy Gambling Habits
These are practical habits that characterise responsible, sustainable gambling. They apply whether you are betting on Pakistan cricket during a PSL final or playing live casino games.
// Healthy Habits
- Set a fixed gambling budget — in PKR — before you start, and treat it as a sunk entertainment cost
- Set a session time limit and stick to it regardless of whether you are winning or losing
- Take regular breaks during a session — step away, have tea, do something else
- Only gamble when you are in a calm, rational state of mind — not when stressed, anxious or emotional
- Treat gambling as entertainment — like a cinema ticket or a meal out — not as a way to earn money
- Use alano5's deposit limits to enforce your budget automatically
- Review your gambling activity periodically — check your transaction history and be honest with yourself
// Things to Avoid
- Never gamble money you cannot afford to lose — bills, rent, school fees or family expenses
- Do not chase losses — a losing streak is not a signal to bet more; it is a signal to stop
- Avoid gambling as a primary entertainment activity — maintain balance with other interests
- Do not borrow money for gambling — from family, friends or any other source
- Avoid gambling when under the influence of alcohol or substances
- Do not think of past wins as an indication of future results — gambling outcomes are probabilistic
- Avoid gambling to escape negative emotions — seek support rather than using gambling as a coping mechanism
Age Protection
Protecting Minors from Gambling Access
Strict 18+ Requirement
alano5 is strictly for adults aged 18 years or over — or the higher minimum required by the operator's license jurisdiction. Age verification is conducted during the KYC process. Accounts where age cannot be verified will be closed.
Device Security at Home
If you share a device with children or young people, ensure your alano5 Account is password-protected and that you log out after each session. Do not allow minors to access a device with an active gambling session.
Report Underage Access
If you believe a minor has created or accessed an alano5 Account, contact our support team immediately at [email protected]. We take underage access seriously and will act promptly on all such reports.
Getting Help
Support Resources for Problem Gambling
If you feel your gambling is becoming a problem, professional support is available. The following are general categories of support — we encourage you to seek help that is appropriate and accessible in your location.
Counselling Services
A qualified counsellor or psychologist with experience in addiction or compulsive behaviour can provide structured one-on-one support. Ask your general practitioner for a referral or seek services in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or other major Pakistani cities.
Support Groups
Peer-based support groups for gambling addiction operate in various formats, including in-person and online. Sharing experiences with others who understand the issue can be a significant part of recovery for many people.
Mental Health Services
Problem gambling is closely linked to mental health. Qualified mental health professionals — available through hospitals and private clinics across Pakistan — can provide assessment and evidence-based treatment.
alano5 Support Team
Our 24/7 live chat and email support team can activate any responsible gambling tool immediately — including self-exclusion — and can direct you to further resources. Contact us at [email protected].
